Glenvil Smith

GLENVIL SMITH is a graduate of Trinity College, Cambridge and qualified as a solicitor with Norton Rose in 1976.  Glen initially worked as commercial lawyer to the Crown Agents for Oversea Governments and Administrations before joining Dan-Air, at the time the UK’s second largest airline, as solicitor and in-house counsel in 1982.  In 1986 he joined the niche Oxford law practice of Dallas Brett, first as a partner and later as consultant, specialising in the legal aspects of regulation and operation of civil air transport, in particular advising on aircraft acquisitions and disposals, airport and ground handling arrangements and air charter agreements.  From 1997 to 2009 Glen practised as a solicitor consultant with three major London law firms during which time he pioneered and lectured on the Air Law and Negotiation module of the M.Sc. course in Air Transport Management at City, University of London. Glen was a founder director and company secretary of Constellation itself until March 2020 but now assists Constellation in advising its clients on matters within his experience through CONSTELLATION AVIATION PORTUGAL.
